World Team Poker Team and Player Statistics at the 2010 WSOP

Team Israel enjoyed the most success, with total winnings exceeding $3.5 million dollars - approximately 34% of the total number of cashes by World Team Poker players combined!  Each one of Team Israel's players cashed at the series, with Michael Mizrachi taking in more than $2,495,874* and a bracelet.  The Main Event will conclude in November, when Michael and the rest of the November Nine play for the bracelet, so that number is likely to increase.  Additionally, if Michael wins the Main Event in November, he willl also become the WSOP player of the year, capping off what has been a stellar WSOP for Michael Mizrachi.

 

Teams Canada, Pakistan, Vietnam finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively, in the total amount of winnings by World Team Poker Players at the WSOP, with winnings over the $1 million dollar mark.

 

Several World Team Poker players had an outstanding World Series of Poker.  Shawn Buchanan of Canada, Team Vietnam Captain Men "The Master" Nguyen, Pakistan's Ayez Mahmood, and England's Richard Ashby all won WSOP Bracelets. 

 

Top moneymakers included Canada's Shawn Buchanan with $895,553 in winnings, Team Vietnam's Men Nguyen with $817,759 in winnings, Pakistan's Ayez Mahmood with $650,605 in winnings, Team England's Richard Ashby with $524,964 in winnings, Pakistan's Hasan Habib with $506,629 in winnings and Robert Mizrachi, with $500,144 in winnings.

 

Team England's Shawn Buchanan cashed in 8 events, followed by Team Germany captain Dan Heimiller with 7 cashes, and Robert Mizrachi with 6 cashes. 

 

The standings in the Player of the Year race changed several times, seeing Dan Heimiller, Michael Mizrachi, and Men Nguyen sitting at the top of the leaderboard at one time or another. 

 

Several players made multiple final tables.   Michael Mizrachi made four final tables, followed by China co-captain David Chiu, Dan Heimiller and Team Israel's Robert Mizrachi, all with three final tables.  Team Canada's Terrence Chan, Team England's Richard Ashby, Team USA's Jennifer Harman and Erik Seidel, and Team Vietnam captain Men Nguyen all made two final tables.
