Tony Guoga was born in Lithuanian, he moved to Melbourne, Australia, at the age of 11. Now aged 36 he is one of the most feared opponents at the poker table. He has played poker since the age of 18, and is known for his outlandish table talk and aggressive play, and frequent intimidation of his opponents. Despite this, many poker professionals and dealers have pointed out that away from the poker table, Tony is quite personable and easygoing. Tony is a businessman as well as poker player, principal owner of a network of high traffic poker information sites, including Pokernews.com, Pokeraffiliateworld.com and Pokerworks.com, he is one of the most recognizable faces (or perhaps voices) on the circuit today, featuring regularly in televised tournaments. In January 2008, Tony received the Shining World Leadership Award in Melbourne, Australia Tony has finished in the money fifteen times at the WSOP, and has one WPT title. In November 2006, he won the Asian Poker Tour event held in Singapore, walking away with $451,700 half of which he indicated he will give to Asian and Australian charities. His overall winnings of more than $4 million include many major events. Although he has yet to cash for a $1,000,000 or more in a single tournament, at the age of 36 he should have plenty of time left to do so.
