Yueqi “Rich” Zhu grew up in mainland China where he worked as an engineer for two years at the Institute of Computer Application in the China National Nuclear Corporation. He then moved to the US to complete a PhD, eventually settling in California.

Rich started playing poker in 1996. His main focus is on cash games. Rich seldom plays tournaments with the exception of the World Series of Poker, where he has reached 4 final tables and cashed 22 times in total.

Outside of poker, Rich enjoys Chinese Chess, Go, Bridge, Blackjack, Mahjong and many other card and board games.
