Along with Christian Kruel, Raul Oliveira is considered to be a pioneer of Brazilian poker. Just like his partner, Raul studied Economics and started playing backgammon. After competing in many national and international events, and falling in love with poker by watching "Rounders", Raul began playing limit Hold'em online and later on went to play internationally.
 
With Kruel he opened a poker portal and they became reference names for poker in Brazil. Today, Raul is considered to be the best Fixed Limit Hold'em player in Brazil and plays online at Full Tilt Poker, as a red pro.
 
Raul lives in Rio de Janeiro and has a young daughter. He writes for the most important Brazilian sites and magazines, like Flop and CardPlayer Brasil, and is also a TV commentator for ESPN poker shows and Poker After Dark in Portuguese.
