  • Summary
  • The "Grand Dame of Poker" started in the world of professional poker in 1976 in Sydney, Australia where she began playing poker and sometimes dealing the game. After a year, the Brisbane native moved to Reno, Nevada with her two children, David and Lana. It was in Nevada that Waggoner began to exhibit her talent for tournament-style Hold’em and Seven-Card Stud events. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Waggoner continued to build a name for herself as a solid and patient tournament and live action player. After moving to Los Angeles, Waggoner became affiliated with Hollywood Park Casino and continues in her position there today as the Executive Host she has been for the past fifteen years. She remains well known and respected throughout the Poker World. To date, she has 93 documented money finishes spanning over 20 years, with her most recent cash at the 2010 Aussie Millions – Spotlight Main Event. Waggoner is an inductee into the Seniors World Championship of Poker/Poker Players Hall of Fame and Women’s Poker Hall of Fame, and most recently she became the first woman to be inducted into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame.
