  • Summary
  • Born in April 11, 1977, in the country's capital Brasilia, that's why Leandro got his nickname "Brasa" - a short name reminding his origins. He is a Bachelor of International Relations with a Master Degree in Business Administration in Telecommunications, and has worked as an analyst for an important multinational Telecommunications company. Leandro Pimentel was one of the new era pioneers of Brazilian poker, as the head of the first poker circuits in Brazil - the CPH - Sao Paulo State Circuit - and the BSOP - Brazilian Series of Poker.

He was first at many Brazilian poker achievements: the first Sao Paulo poker champion in 2005, first BSOP champion in 2006, first Brazilian heads-up champion in 2008, first Brazilian to acquire an online Triple Crown from Pocket Fives, first Brazilian to win a Full Tilt Poker Million tournament and, most importantly, he was the first Brazilian to ever reach a final table at the WSOP, in 2007, when he finished 4th in Event 49, a record-breaker with 3,151 players.

Besides all that, Brasa has had experience as a poker magazine columnist, co-wrote Brazil's most important poker book and has been on TV as a commentator for shows like Poker After Dark, and many more, when aired in Brazil. All his charisma and experience landed him a contract with Full Tilt Poker, where he plays online as a red pro. He finished second at the Full Tilt Poker Latin American Heads-Up Series, in Argentina - a show aired in ESPN Latin America. Most recently he finished in 22nd place at the 2010 WSOP $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Event.
