Howard Lederer grew up in New York City and began playing poker at the famous Mayfair Club. Although he finished 5th in the 1987 WSOP Main Event, he would not permanently leave NYC for Las Vegas until 1993. Soon after his arrival in Vegas, Lederer captured titles in 1994 and 1995 at the Hall of Fame Poker Classic. He won WSOP Bracelets in 2000 and 2001, and World Poker Tour Titles in 2002 and 2003. He is known as “The Professor” for his understanding of and ability to articulate the finer points of poker.
