Erik Seidel was originally a backgammon player at New York City’s famed Mayfair Club, before turning his attention to poker in the mid-1980s. His 2nd place finish to Johnny Chan in the 1988 WSOP Main Event has been immortalized in the movie “Rounders.” He would go on to rank in the all-time top ten in WSOP Bracelets, WSOP cashes, and lifetime tournament poker winnings.
