Dan's ancestors, originally from Germany, had settled in Buffalo, New York. He grew up just outside of Detroit Michigan. Spending time in St. Charles, Missouri, Tucson, Arizona, and Downey, California, Dan Has lived off and on in Las Vegas, Nevada for 25 years. He's worked as a Taxi Driver and Industrial Engineer among other jobs while striving to be a top ranked poker player.

Dan has been playing in tournaments since 1992 and has had great success both live and online, with a WSOP bracelet in Limit Hold’Em/Stud and a WCOOP bracelet in Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo.  In 1999 he won Best All Round Player at the Commerce Casino.  He has 20 career wins and over 150 cashes.
