Cyndy was born in Queens, NY . Her family relocated to Las Vegas when she was 12 years old. As a child, she loved to play cards on the kitchen table with her uncle Ross. In 1981 while pregnant with her daughter Shannon, Cyndy tested her skills for the first time in a Las Vegas Casino. She played in many card rooms winning smaller tourneys while also playing in various poker games. In 1986 she entered and won the 7 card stud event "Grand Prix of Poker" at the Golden Nugget Casino. The $74,000 prize was the most money won by a woman in poker at that time. Cyndy was being featured in many magazine articles and interviewed on TV shows. In 1987 she fell in love, was married, then re-located to Washington State and took a two year sabbatical from poker. Then in 1990 while visiting family on a vacation in Las Vegas Cyndy entered and won a Poker tournament at Ceasars Palace taking home a $62,000 prize. One paper's headline said Cyndy’s back -- and with a "Poker Vengeance!" She realized her deep, and never ending love for the game. In 1993 Cyndy realized that it was time to move on. Hearing they were legalizing poker in Atlantic City she decided to set up shop there. Cyndy bought a house in the Atlantic City area and made it her personal haven, a home for her and her daughter Shannon. After 10 years she felt a strong desire to move back to the west coast. Now Cyndy calls Los Angeles and Las Vegas home. In 2004 Cyndy achieved her long time dream, the World Series of poker bracelet. She won the 7 card stud high-low tournament. In the 2005 World Series of Poker she made three final tables, and six cashes total. She was featured on "The Superstars of Poker", Fox Sports Net, "Poker Royale Pro/Celebrity Tournament" on the Game Show Network, and the World Series of Poker Tournament on ESPN. Again in 2006 WSOP Cyndy showed her muscle as a Poker Champion with seven cashes. Recently Cyndy has been playing mainly live action games. You can also find her playing regaurly on Full Tilt Poker as well as hosting a weekly 7 Stud tournament. Cyndy enjoys keeping her mind and body at their optimum performance levels. By following a life style of a healthy Vegan /vegeterian diet ,daily physical exercise . As well as feeding the soul with daily meditation, listening and reading to transformatinal CDs and books. Positive thinking and visualization are very important to her poker game. When in Los Angeles her favorite thing to do is attending services at "The Agape Spiritual Center." Where Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith teaches The New Thought - Ancient Wisdom Teachings. Cyndy's Clothing line says it all .
