Ben Roberts was born in Persia but moved to London during his teens and has called London his home ever since. A few years after moving to London he was introduced to the game of poker and was hooked. Ben plays all over Europe and is primarily a cash game player. He uses the money he wins at the table to pay for entry fees into tournaments. Ben has had great success in tournaments and his final table appearances include $3K Pot-Limit Hold 'em tournament at the 2001 World Series of Poker, the $10K No-Limit Hold 'em tournament at the 2004 Grand Prix de Paris, and the $3K No-Limit Hold 'em tournament at the 2005 Five Diamond Poker Classic. In 1998 Ben finished sixth in the WSOP Main Event. In his final hand, his pocket Aces lost ot Scotty Nguyen's Ace-Queen of Diamonds, when Nguyen hit a flush. Most recently Ben took 2nd in the 2010 Pot Limit Omaha $5,000 Championship Event at the Southern Poker Championship in Biloxi. In 2005 Ben was the 5th person to be voted into the European Poker Players Hall of Fame. As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings exceed $1,000,000. In addition to his success at the poker table, Ben was a County Table Tennis Champion in 1978 and the English Pool Champion in 1979. Ben is a Full Tilt Pro.
