Michael A. Christian, CEO, Chairman of the Board
Michael is a successful entrepreneur. Michael is the creator of "Play Craps" a table game that can be found in casinos throughout the country. He was the executive producer of poker-themed movie "The Big Blind," starring Scotty Nguyen and Jennifer Harman, and is the holder of several patents and copyrights.
Michael has been a licensed general contractor in California for over 30 years, and is licensed in Nevada as well. Michael served on City Boards and Commissions in Riverside County for over 16 years, and also served on an advisory board for a local bank.
Before becoming a general contractor, Michael was Deputy Controller at the City of Hope, and Controller/Assistant Administrator at San Bernardino Community Hospital.
Michael is an alumnus of the University of Alabama, where he studied English and physical science, University of Chicago where he studied medicine and Azusa Pacific University where he studied accounting.
Robert Turner, President
Robert is a legendary poker player and the creator of World Team Poker. He was elected to the Senior Poker Hall of Fame in 1998. Along with his many poker accomplishments, he has been in the marketing field for several decades, and has produced over twenty billiards shows for ESPN and Fox. He was also Executive Host, Director of Player Development, and Casino Marketing Director at the Bicycle Casino for 14 years.
Brenda A. Prackup, COO/CFO
Prior to becoming COO and CFO of World Team Poker, Brenda's legal practice focused on business and commercial litigatation and transactions. She advised start-up clients in a wide range of corporate transactions, including ownership structure, operational and management tactics, and general corporate governance. Her litigation experience includes business, commercial, real estate, entertainment and intellectual property matters. Prior to becoming an attorney she worked in artist management and music licensing, and was litigation support manager for one of the world's largest record companies. Brenda has a degree in music and sound engineering from the University of New Haven and J.D. from American College of Law.
Charity Perry, Vice President
Charity has launched two successful businesses in California, and most recently has been serving in academia as a sociology professor in Los Angeles, where her specializing in race and ethnic relations, gender roles, and critical thinking.
Charity has served as an independent consultant for various casinos throughout Los Angeles for years.
Charity's knowledge of business, ethnic relations, and experiences within the gaming industry for 14 years creates an invaluable link within our company. Charity is an alumnus of California State University, Los Angeles, where she received a Master's degree in Sociology.
Jenny Kaye, Director of European Operations
Jenny has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the poker industry, both on and off the felt. Jenny was the marketing director at the Crystal Park Hotel and Casino for several years during the early 1990’s and was the marketing director at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles until 2000. Jenny was instrumental in devising new tournament ideas that are still being played in casinos today. She also spent time in Las Vegas working on the Tournament of Champions.
Jenny is also an accomplished poker player. Jenny won the British Poker Championship in 1988 and she went on win major tournaments in both Europe and the USA. She has won Hall of Fame events, Legends of Poker events and was the first woman to win a major tournament at Commerce with over 350 players in the 90’s. A WSOP title has always eluded her but she has been at several WSOP final tables.
Marie-Lizette C. Acoba, Director of Public Relations
Marie-Lizette is a professional poker player and a freelance poker blogger, writer, and photographer for the poker rooms in the Los Angeles area. Having worked in the legal industry as a legal assistant and IT paralegal for over 20 years, Marie-Lizette as worked with top trial lawyers and firm partners in assisting with technical trial preparation, multi-media presentations, seminar organization, firm marketing and client relations. Always trying to find ways to express her creativity and challenge her skills, Marie-Lizette started up her own website and blog. Shortly thereafter she was hired as the LA Poker Examiner for examiner.com. She quickly earned a name for herself in and among the local Los Angeles casinos as an amicable media personality who was well liked by both poker players and casino staff alike. Through her continued hard work and dedication, Marie-Lizette has shown she has what it takes to make an impact and get the job done. Her ability to work on both sides of the ropes give Marie-Lizette an edge in relating to the general public, press and media, and professional poker players alike.
Daniel Ecoff, Creative Director
Daniel is an acclaimed photographer, digital imaging specialist, and graphic artist who has worked for high-profile clients in the movie, commercial, and music video fields for over two decades. Through “Photographix,” the company Daniel founded and runs, he has worked on advertising campaigns for blockbusters such as “Spiderman,” “Transformers,” and “Mission Impossible 3.” Daniel’s photography has been published and exhibited worldwide.
